In order to transfer your domain name license out of Melbourne IT, you will require your authorisation code. Once you have obtained the authorisation code, you will need to contact your gaining registrar (the company you are moving to) and initiate a transfer request.

Once a successful transfer request has been submitted, the following will then occur:
- A Transfer Acceptance/Rejection email will be sent to your admin contact email address on the domain name.
a. This needs to be accepted in order for the transfer to be initiated.
- Once accepted, the domain name will then take anywhere between 4- 5 calendar days to transfer over to the gaining registrar after the transfer email has been accepted.
